I've been a fan of this clever comedy since it debuted in 2014. Imagine my excitement when the props department for "Black-ish" ordered two of my artisan iPhone 6 6s cases for potential use on the show this past summer. I was excited and hoped that one of the cases would be chosen for use with the teenage daughter "Zoey" played by the talented actress Yara Shahidi. I've worked with different production companies on artwork for TV pilots before, but you never know if it will actually get seen until the show airs. Blackish Season 2 premiered on September 23rd, 2015....

This will be my first art show since moving my home and studio from Colorado to New Mexico this past March. I will have several Sugar Skull pieces on display at The Church in Tijeras, New Mexico. I will have both prints and originals including a sculpture piece included in the show. The show will also include a fundraiser / silent auction with art and accessories donated by the participating artists. Proceeds from the silent auction will go the Seidel family who's home next door to The Church recently burned down. This will be a really fun event... live music,...

October, 2014 Boulder, Colorado - The Historic (and haunted) hotel Boulderado will be hosting a "1920s Reincarnation Celebration" on Friday and Saturday Night 10/31 & 11/1 at the License No1 Liquor Bar located in the hotel's charming yet creepy basement. You'll find prints of my Day of the Dead / Sugar Skull artwork throughout the venue. Come dressed as you were in 1920 and enjoy the celebration. Prizes will be awarded for the best costume.

4 Dimensional Journeys - Art ShowMay, 2013 Buchanan, Michigan. A joint show featuring the artwork of Christopher Beikmann along with the artwork of one of his first art teachers Susan Sutherland Barnes. The show featured both Beikmann's mixed media pieces on canvas and digital artwork sublimated onto aluminum along with nature infused ceramic pieces interwoven with basketry and fibers by Susan Sutherland Barnes. The show was held at the Buchanan Art Center in the main gallery. The opening reception was held on Friday, May 24th and the show ran through July 7th.
